three years
of a sixty year life
created three thousand pages
in that three years
then, exhausted,
outcast
wasted
away
unrecognized
into oblivion
oh, she came back
in fits
a few times, yes
spasms
like a drowning man
gulping for air…
… think of the poems
unwritten
what a bunch of
primitives
how could they have let
that happen?
