My panting Jane, you inspire me to write.
I love the way you chasmic and intense,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the civil defense.

Let me compare you to a sanctuary?
You are more ranting and more beauteous.
Snow chills the berries of January,
And wintertime has the lush gluteus.

How do I love you? Let me count the ways.
I love your generous heart, talk and smile.
Thinking of your slanting talk fills my days.
My love for you is the cunning air mile.

Now I must away with a quiet heart,
Remember my plain words whilst we’re apart.

  1. Your ode I find interesting and, at the same time, unusual: profane and saint are combined in it by a manner that the two threads are inseparable. Its frame gives the saint, the frame of on ode, the subject, the salutation, the comparing, flow of emotions, etc. But the details are mostly profane, you grabbed the moments that of the common life. This contrast makes your ode absolutely modern. In addition, your poem is beautifully rhyming. 🙂
