I can feel you stewing
It’s too peaceful for you here
No angst, no tears, no misery
No dominance, no fear

No frustrated longing
Hidden unmet need
Nothing upon which your demons
Can get a good feed

You were very happy
You were doing fine
When nobody called it
When you pushed the line

And pushed the line, and pushed
The line, and pushed the line some more —
After all, to those like you
That’s what lines are for!

How to get things back upon
Advantageous footing?
How to get those lips, again,
Which before were putting

Lovely imprints oft upon
Your unpleasant ass
To imprint again
Instead of giving it a pass?

You’re recalculating
How to grab the best of all,
Get us back to dancing
To the tune you call —

Go ahead and calculate
Waste all your energy
Nothing good can come of it
And that’s okay with me
