Imagine you, you are in love with me?
Tis but imagination, my good friend
Nothing further from act’ual truth could be —
Pursuit would see attraction’s endless end

I suffer from a list of handicaps
Would take a dozen items to relate
A web of inconven’ience me entraps
Which comes on my companions sore to grate

Physical, mental, spiritual, those
Grim limits endlessly do me surround
Be not misguided as so ill to choose —
Upon such shoals thine own ship run aground!

Contented be our present distance with —
Gently doth it allow of love’s sweet myth
