The Almond Flowers And the Bald Tree,
by J. W. Cassandra

“Come closer, oh, renewing
Spring!”
So the almond blossoms sighed.
“Be sentient of betrayals of
Spring!
It grabs your cloak off you,
You’ll see”.
So the bald tree warned the
Branch,
“You are what I am: only a
Wretch…”
“No, I took my beauty on my
Branch,
I’ll be the future’s hope in my
Flowers”.
And then came the Spring all of a sudden,
And they stood in awe, mute
Before
Spring’s steps, her murmuring
Spells:
The past took the hand of future
Then,
And the time flows united again,
In them.
