If I go to salute you again,
My journey is pilgrimage to nothingness.
If I look at the past-well, I can’t see you,
And here you are yet, but I can’t find you:
Because what else I would say it sounds
All for fallen to the past-well, for you;
And what can I say to you now,
Who’s begun her road to nowhere long ago?
You’re still here in vain, I don’t find even your trace;
And if I may tell you, my words fall to nothingness:
I just hope you know yet: it’s long ago that
I’ve forgiven you, keep carrying your burden.
This could be a farewell or a salute,
For today is your day: salute to you;
And while you’re still here, I salute you,
Though my word falls into no man’s land,
But you know it yet, I believe, I believe!
And I go to you again yet, to salute you,
Though my word falls, and it rolls on the journey,
Though my journey is a pilgrimage to nothingness…
