Cigarettes

I never liked your cigarettes
They took away from your smell, taste
Nape of your neck, I favored most
Yes I could call it home, home, home
Oh it feels nice to breathe you in
But it’s not the cigarettes now
Something else is suffocating
The fact that my home is now not
Your door opened and closed on me
Unexpectedly left to the
Elements of this world; homeless
You can have your cigarettes back
All I want now is to go home
