The Trees Reach up to the Skies Twice, Part 2, by J. W. Cassandra

When the trees don’t reach up to the skies
The spell doesn’t even chase you, what for?
Then don’t forget: they accompany you though,
In them there’s hidden promise of your life…

When the trees all are broken then down:
Your hands hold the means to kill them out,
They guard this soul against you –
Your past, disappeared, sold own self, the true…

When the trees reach up to the skies
They promise charming secrets,
Their leaves are the fresh green spell –
When your life is on beginnings only…

When the trees reach up to the skies
Your dawn has vanished finally,
Their leaves gleam in twilight
When, alas, your life comes to its end…
