I Dream of Your Raven Locks,
by J. W. Cassandra

If I dream of your raven locks,
The wind playfully flutters them,
I braid in one cue your raven locks,
Till the stray wind sighs secrets.

Through your raven locks a star shines,
I see her on sky occuring through, today;
The star laughs, it grabs you from my life:
Your ravenlock-life became yesterday.

I only dream of your raven locks:
They had been once my all pride,
Today I wade in dream on star-way:
I stretch my arm – maybe, I reach you!

Then I turn one turn on my bed:
The dormant wakes up for fact for ever –
But the star – your eyes – yet shines through
Infinite, unattainable remoteness:

Her hopeful shine flows from the dream,
Your loving, faithful being showers me.
Through your raven locks a star shines:
She shows me where I can find you!

I ascend on the star, yet awaken:
I stretch my arm – I reach you, at last!
I braid in one cue your raven locks,
And sing with the secret-sighing wind…
