A companion for long dark nights
glasses filled with heavy thoughts tonight,
to consume and become delirious
where consciousness dissolves and time freezes,
where past is tamed and pain slowly mellows
where haunting memories escape like smoke billows,
Such is the state of ecstacy
a smile touches after long paucity
lungs filled with smoke and toxicity
this poison feels like a sought remedy
Now its effects are slowly ebbing away
awareness and reality come & play
an unknown fear condenses around
nervous furrows grows in mind
but the night is still long
this dance of chaos must go on
glasses being filled again
thick smoke rising in plumes
wish this night never sees dawn
and watches this destructive celebration.
