these feathers lower slow,
spinning quickly to a stop,
harnessed to rope.
always will I save you.

(wings shade the spotlight)
my brown and beige quills
tuft arches, grabbing you.

you have been gone so long.
found you again,
like I met my family.

laying this angel on an
emergency plank,
I’ll wait for your sun;
pulling you up.

(racing as fast as
violet speed, because I won’t
be the runaway)
I’ll stay in this heaven,
your battle wounds
will heal infinity.
