Freedom, by J. W. Cassandra

There’s no place on Earth
Where to fly free as a bird,
If you aim the sky: its empty
Infinity does embrace to infinite –
You open your wings wide,
They will be broken by winds, wild –

The ireful storms throw back
To the soil you with broken back –
Where is the Solace who heals you?
There is only the wheel that kills you:
You are bound on it by karmic bonds
It throws up and down, skies and ponds –

Till in the end you will see clearly:
Broken wings don’t rise to Infinity,
Broken back doesn’t serve you as rod
To the sky from earthly views, you broke
With your imagination the Eternal Law:
Free of bonds never can be only the form.

Free of bonds for vast Infinity
May only be the soul with dignity,
That can never be broken by form,
Were you though a hellish storm
Or pure flame of Eternal Purity –
It’s the soul only that can be free…

This Earth is but land of bonds,
This sky is but altitude of empty sounds,
And when the soul sees at last:
She is free of bonds as blast
Of lights at dawn or twilight –
It takes off any form and takes flight,

She’s covered by essential robe of light,
Dance, joy, colourful splendour are
Whirling around her: no absence
Neither on the sky, nor on Earth,
The soul is the only free bird:
The totality in depths and height…

Who wants to be free as bird in Infinity,
They must see through absence the totality…

    1. Thank you. 😊 I was in turn enchanted by your Shelley’s post. I left you a comment though I’m afraid of not the best. 🙁 However I’m fascinated by the idea and the building up of your post. I enjoyed it from the very beginning to the end.
