Although in same neighborhood

yet worlds apart

one house shimmering with lightness

while other barely avoids dark,

The one’s up high there

rarely look down

while other oblivious

do not carry a frown,

Yet both of these

see the same sun

even rain doesn’t discriminate

falling on them,

Outside it seems like

two different worlds

but from inside we realize

it’s all the same.

  1. I think your poem grabs the contrast and the identity of the 2 worlds excellently. Well written poem, I like it. There are but lots of such spots, even entire continents on the planet where the situation is the same, unfortunately.
