If the Soles of the Night are Velvet, by J. W. Cassandra: this is one of my poems written recently. I share it in English and in Hungarian, as well. I haven’t placed it yet into any of my volumes. I hope you’ll like it. Illustration is from Pixabay, by WikiImages. J. W. Cassandra: Ha az éj talpa bársony: ezt a versemet mostanában írtam, még egyik kötetembe sem soroltam be. J. W. Cassandra: Gyökér és szárny

Root and Wing, by J. W. Cassandra: my poem is one of the newest ones. It was written in a nadir mood and after surviving it, I found this poem… It was only a flash but the atmosphere of the poem may give something important. I hope so. Well, I share my poem as a nadir that is a starting point at the same time, up and higher than imagination can make us. Now I share the Hungarian version. Illustration by Emerson, Pixabay.

Gitanjali, Poem 12, by Rabindranath Tagore – a translation by J. W. Cassandra

Gitanjali, Poem 12, by Rabindranath Tagore, a translation from English into Hungarian by J. W. Cassandra: I am fond of Gitanjali by Rabindranath Tagore, I could it read in English, not in Bengali, and in Hungarian. But I found the translations unfair in a certain sense, so I myself made the translation for the entire volume. Now I share here my very favourite, Poem 12. I made it as I felt by inspiration, not word by word only. I’m aware of that you generally don’t know my language, Hungarian. Despite of it, I try to render it for you. And I’d like to express my respect to the poet. Anyway, his life has Hungarian concerns, as well: he had cured his heart disease in the famous sanitarium, in Balatonfured at lake Balaton, in 1926. Moreover, he invited our linguist professor, Gyula Germanus to teach at his university to Santiniketan. Gyula Germanus spent there more years with his wife, Rozsa Hajnoczy. If we had no connection between the two countries, even I’d felt myself honoured to be able to translate his great poems into Hungarian. I adore his poetry and philosophy. By this short preface, I’d like to render my enthusiastic but maybe not the best translation of his poem.

RESPECT IS THE FIRST STEP!

Thousands of things and Thousands of relations. No matter who are there at the two ends of a bond but ‘respect’ always plays an important role of being the sign of maturity to keep hold that bond and make it stronger every next moment and it never let the bond go weak even if there’re differences of any kind.

The Foodie and the Traveler

This is a rhyming couplet about a young boy who is a big-time foodie and his love interest who loves to travel and explore the world. This poem is very close to my heart. Both keep on wandering all the time one about the food and other about the places she want’s to travel. But as they say, “not all who wander are lost”. But unfortunately, this boy has only met her in his dreams.

Troubleshooter

The guidance one seeks can be an endless affair. Be it clear or not, the focus should be of benefit and not the opposite. We all have degrees of anxiety, doubt or unpreparedness no matter the situation. Be it due to the known or unknown, finding peace within the chaos (if that’s the intention) will ultimately return good fortune. Never bow to pride or ignorance… for such can lead to greater difficulties. Solve the puzzle presented, then sigh relief once finished… for the next objective waits. ✌🏾

Autochthones

Learn thy history. From the root to full bloom. A place on Earth or any other seeks the stars not the moon. Mythically, autochthones were chronicled biblically via various cultures and faiths (specifically Ancient Greeks) to rise from nothing… dirt, rocks, trees. Ancestry through evolution or belief is beneficial in knowing thy self and one’s surroundings. Never blindly accept the horrors of another’s life or testament as your own. Each were birthed differently, therefore special in numerous ways. Learn, grow, prosper. ✌🏾

Truth Absolute

Truth absolute is truth unyielding. Not bothered by burdens of others or the developments of what such burdens may occur. What the populace deems efficient shouldn’t stop one’s quest for answers from one’s questions unjust. Each day graced requires choice, be haste. Base one’s agendas as stepping stones, excelling beyond what normal norms. No thrones… but Kings and Queens redeem. Scene after scene. ✌🏾
