J. W. Cassandra: A szépanya tükre, részlet

The Foremother’s Mirror, a detail, by J. W. Cassandra. My short story I wanted to share o Mother’s Day just I’m late a day. Sorry. But, I could congratulate my Mother who will be 80 on 16th June. This is why I’m late a bit. The short story I wrote about an imagined character, a descendant of the Foremother, she’s not me. The whole story is available in my website, both in English and Hungarian. I mingled the features of a fairy tale, a family legend and a short story in it, intentionally. Illustration from Pixabay. My website: www.jwcassandra.simplesite.com I hope, you’ll like it.

J. W. Cassandra: A Négy Folyó Sárkánya (részlet)

The Four Rivers’ Dragon, by J. W. Cassandra, detail. I really share a detail of one of my legends that came to life and that live in my world of fantasy. I had already written in some volumes of these legends and tales, fantasies. I have a volume containing legends and tales woven around the Four Rivers’ Dragon, living in my imagination. The Four Rivers’ Dragon legend is the first of them that is the keynote at the same time. The story is continued in my website by the following headlines: “After the Battle of the Red Dragon, The Four Rivers’ Star and the Dragons’ Folk, They Gallop Away at the Head of their Folks on the Star Path, Engrave it in Dragon Blood on the Four Rivers’ Pillar!” It was written in 2008, translated in 2021. Illustration to my story is by cowins or Alex Hu, Pixabay. You can read my entire legend in this link (copy to your browser, please): www.jwcassandra.simplesite.com/ I share the first part of the legend both in English and Hungarian. I hope, you will read the entire work, as well. Please, leave a comment and like it on my website. Thank you.

The Eyes

Today, I’m in the campus again. And, I’m very busy again and again as usual. By the way, today, I am not on my mood because it is cloudy and there is no sunlight and am feeling very sleepy, drowsy and depressive at the same time. While still strolling, for a sudden, I was eye to eye with a young blond-haired woman unexpectedly – she was just opposite of me about two meters away from me at the across of the slot. We are not acquainted against each other nor we haven’t seen each other before. I don’t know who she is and she does not know who I am too. Moreover, she is not attractive even though not a nice woman at all.

THE LOSS

Okay. OK… I think this road goes to the Bank directly. Yes, exactly. Jut across… The Central Bank? Is it? Yes, but? But… but, anyway… I’m in front of the Central Bank right  now. Yeah. Anyway… He said to me that is HSBC. So? I came wrongly. Nonetheless, HSBC must be around here then. Why not? But, there is no other bank here.  I’m here waiting for you. Don’t stay in the hot so much. In Cyprus, the weather conditions are very terrible in summers – it is very hot and drought – a typical Mediterranean climate, but not like in France and Spain.

Ghost of the autumn o’clock

Sometimes I feel like I can I possess people. People that I have never heard of, never seen. I possess them for fraction of seconds, before their souls slips away from mine, like a gentle…

J. W. Cassandra: Ave Caesar!

Ave Caesar!, by J. W. Cassandra, a grotesque short story from me. I wrote it today and of course, it is a fancy. I placed it in my short story volume, “Masquerade of Cycle of Existence”. I recommend it for those who like grotesque, thought-provoking stories. Its curiosity that accidentally, it bears actuality, either. And despite of its actuality, te story points beyond it with its philosophical content. I share it both in English and Hungarian. I hope, you will enjoy it.

Cause and Effect by Charles Bukowski

Cause And Effect | A Poem by Charles Bukowski

This is a poem about suicide and how it often occurs to best of people. And those who don’t understand these people during their lifetime wonder why they chose death over their company. Charles Bukowski calls death as effect and oblivion created by people around him as effect.

Fire and Ice by Robert rost

Fire and Ice | A Poem by Robert Frost

Robert Frost chooses the best alternative as a mode of destruction if the world had to end this moment. He chooses the better mode from amongst ‘fire’ and ‘ice’. He is also giving justification for his choice.

The tale belongs to my volume “Dragon Legends and Tales”. So far, to it 22 legends and tales belong, mostly written to 2004. I hope, you’ll enjoy the story.
